ABSTRACT
Diarrheal disease is still one of the main public health problems in various countries, especially in developing countries such as Timor-Leste. Based on data from the ministerio da saúde Sistema informasaun surveillance (sis) report district, the number of cases of diarrhea in Timor-Leste in 2013 was 64,073 cases of acute diarrhea and dysentery, the number of cases was 5,605, while in the aileu district with the number of cases of acute diarrhea there were 3,502 cases and dysentery diarrhea the number of
cases was 237 cases, especially in the center of saúde aileu vila there were 120 cases. Objective To determine the relationship between environmental factors and the incidence of diarrheal disease in children under five years old aged 0-59 months who were treated at Centro Saude Aileu, Aileu Vila Sub-District, Aileu Aileu District. The environment is everything physical, biological, and social that surrounds humans as well as external influences that affect human life and development. Water is a chemical compound that is very important for life on earth. A family latrine is a building used to dispose of and collect human waste. The house is a ground surface covering in the room and its surroundings. Diarrhea is a bowel movement with a mushy or liquid consistency, and it can even be water alone with a frequency more frequent than usual (three times or more).
